A new computer out of the box is full of trial software, weak default settings, and missing the things you actually need. I set up your new machine properly from the start - removing the junk, configuring accounts and security, installing your software, and moving your files and settings from the old machine so you're not starting from scratch.
Initial Windows Setup
Configuring your Microsoft account, privacy settings, and Windows preferences the right way from the start.
Bloatware Removal
Removing the trial software, manufacturer utilities, and unnecessary programs that come pre-installed and slow your machine down.
Security Configuration
Enabling Windows Defender, automatic updates, and browser security settings so you're protected before you start using the machine.
Software Installation
Installing your browsers, Office, cloud storage apps, printers, and any other software you use regularly.
Data Transfer from Old Computer
Moving your files, photos, documents, desktop items, and browser bookmarks from your old machine to the new one.
Email Account Setup
Configuring Outlook, Gmail, or other email accounts so your mail is set up and working correctly on the new machine.
Printer & Peripheral Setup
Connecting and configuring printers, external drives, monitors, and other peripherals so everything works together.
Network & Wi-Fi Connection
Connecting to your home network and confirming everything works - including shared drives or network printers if you have them.
I go through a checklist of everything that needs to move from your old computer - files, photos, emails, bookmarks, and settings. You won't realize three weeks later that something is missing.
Unboxing a computer and turning it on isn't setup. I configure security, remove junk, and make sure your machine is actually ready to use.
Before I leave, I walk you through any changes and make sure you're comfortable with the new setup - especially if you're switching from an older version of Windows.
